Sandwich Sunday, May 20th

This is YOUR opportunity to help our friends at Family and Adult Service Center in downtown Seattle.  Bread will be provided, but we need lots of fillings - such as peanut butter and jelly, packages or sliced meats and cheeses. Please have homemade fillings already prepared.  There are several jumbo size cans of tuna and gallon jars of mayonnaise that can be picked up ahead of time to make at home with extra goodies added.  The Outreach Board is counting on you to provide fellowship as we make sandwiches together during coffee hour.

Postcard for Marriage Equality

On February 13, 2012 Governor Christine Gregoire signed the same sex marriage bill into law. Congregations across the state are now being asked to sign a petition for placing Referendum 74 on the November ballot in hopes of keeping the law from going into effect.  Opponents of the law are going to pay to collect 120,577 signatures to put marriage equality on the ballot in November. We want to show how strong the support is for marriage equality by matching them signature for signature. That means we need to get 120,577 people to pledge to vote to approve Referendum 74 should it appear on the ballot come November.  Help us show how strong the support is for marriage by gathering signatures on our Pledge to Approve 74 postcards.  You can download and send your support online at http://washingtonunitedformarriage.org/wp-content/uploads/Ref.-74-perf-card-final.pdf or you can send your own postcard to:
